Windows 11 doesn't show the 1900x1200 resolution option for Dell U2412M monitor

Use Display settings to verify and adjust what resolutions Windows 11 is offering, then update the display/graphics drivers so the native 1920×1200 mode becomes available.

1. Open Display settings and check resolution
   1. Select Start > Settings > System > Display.
   2. Select the Dell U2412M display in the diagram at the top.
   3. In Scale & layout, open the Display resolution list and see all available options.
   4. If 1920×1200 appears, select it (prefer the one marked (Recommended)).
2. Make sure Windows and drivers are fully updated
   1. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates and install all available updates, including optional driver updates. Updated graphics drivers often restore missing resolutions.
   2. If the resolution still does not appear, install the latest graphics driver from the PC or GPU manufacturer (Intel, AMD, Nvidia). After installing, reboot and re-check Display resolution.
3. Basic external monitor troubleshooting
   1. Press Windows logo key + P and choose Extend so Windows treats the Dell as a full external display.
   2. Reseat or replace the video cable and, if possible, try a different video output port (HDMI/DisplayPort/DVI) on the PC. Some adapters/cables only expose limited resolutions.
   3. Test the monitor on another PC to confirm it reports 1920×1200 correctly.

If the monitor, cable, and port all support 1920×1200 and the correct graphics driver is installed, the native resolution should appear in the Display resolution dropdown in Windows 11.
