I made a document with a password to it and now I can't remember the password to it. So how do I fix this without typing the passage again?

Hello

If the file itself is password protected, there is unfortunately no legitimate bypass built into Office apps. Sorry.

I also want to point out, do not upload the file to random “free password unlock” websites. Many are scams or privacy risks.

In Word, a password-protected document cannot be opened or recovered if the password is lost or forgotten. Microsoft does not provide any service, tool, or workaround to remove or bypass the password, and the content cannot be retrieved without entering the correct password.

To use the document again, the text must be re-created in a new file, because the original file cannot be unlocked without the original password.

For future documents, store passwords securely and verify that Caps Lock is off and the exact upper/lowercase combination is used when opening the file, since passwords are case-sensitive.
