My mother and I email back and forth every day, sometimes several times a day and lately more and more my emails are not getting to her. She has an outlook email account and it's not even giving me an error code anymore....just says giving up. This was never an issue before but now it's happening everyday. I don't know what to do

I think there's something going on Microsoft's end right now. I am seeing many people reporting that they cannot receive emails from Yahoo or Gmail users. You are not the only one. Earlier this week it happened with iCloud users, but it finally recovered. Hopefully this is a similar situation. There's no official announcement on Microsoft side at the moment.
Thanks EmilyS726....I don't seem to have any trouble receiving emails from her account, just sending so yea, hope it gets resolved soon.
You are welcome. Ah and yes, it is regarding yahoo/gmail emails arriving at outlook/hotmail.com addresses.
Oh also read this:
"messages from Gmail and Yahoo are not lost. They're being queued or throttled on Microsoft's inbound mail servers and should be delivered once the backlog clears."
That's correct. Some users did notice that some emails have come in slowly with delays, that means they were sitting in the queue prior to that. However, there are also users reporting that they got a bounce back error when they sent from yahoo/gmail. In those cases, the emails wouldn't be queued anywhere.
