Recently, Outlook started receiving only 4 emails at a time and I had to Send/Receive over and over again to get all my emails (from my Gmail account). Now, it is not receiving any emails at all regardless of Send/Receive. My email program on my phone is receiving normally, and my emails are on the Gmail website, they are just not being received by Outlook

We resolved the error in the end by removing my Gmail account from Outlook completely and reinstating it with a new app password from Gmail. It had a Gmail app password before so I don't know if it was the new password or the fact that we removed it and reinstated it. I am using Microsoft 365. There was never any error message, anywhere, ever, and no stuck tasks. I don't know if there was an update from Microsoft but I hadn't made any changes to anything. I have never had IMAP, I only ever use POP for my Outlook, because of my Folder system designed around my work on Outlook. We had to reconfigure POP manually (otherwise it would do IMAP and I would lose all my folders). After successfully reconfiguring, it started receiving as normal. I have no idea why it went wrong, I just hope it continues as normal now

    Hi Sandra Ballester

I understand that Outlook has stopped receiving emails from your Gmail account, even though sending still works and messages are available on your phone and the Gmail website.

Before suggesting specific fixes, I’d like to narrow this down a bit to avoid giving incorrect steps:

    1. Since you mentioned using the “Send/Receive” feature, I’d like to confirm first: Are you using Classic Outlook for Desktop? You can refer to: What version of Outlook do I have?
    2. When you click “Send/Receive”, do you see any error message in the status bar at the bottom?
    3. Go to “Send/Receive” tab > “Show Progress”, does it show any errors or stuck tasks?
    4. Did the issue start after any recent changes (such as password update, enabling 2‑step verification, or Outlook update)?
    5. In Outlook, is your Gmail added as a regular IMAP account, or did you sign in using the Google sign-in window?

Looking forward to your response so I can assist you more accurately. Thanks for your understanding.
