The font on all Word documents has been changed and I cannot change it back.

For some reason, Word has changed all of my documents to a weird font/style. The top picture is the normal style taken from a pdf, the picture below is how every document looks now, including older documents. The strange thing is when I go to print the document or save as a pdf, it shows up in the "normal" format. Creating a document is now a challenge because as I'm typing, it is in the weird format, so things do not line up as they will show up. I have tried re-installing Word, making sure the style is "normal", and making sure the default font is what I chose, which is arial in my case. Notice is the "weird" picture how the spacing of the letters is also widen. Once again, all documents now show up this way.

Do you see a ribbon tab labeled Immersive Reader? If so, activate that tab and click Close Immersive Reader. This should display the text properly.
