Renewed my subscription but still getting messages to update payment?

I had an issue with my credit card on file and the auto renewal did not go through. Updated the card and payment has now been processed. My account clearly shows the next payment isn't due until 2027. However, I am still getting messages when opening Microsoft Office applications that there is a payment issue. How can we fix this and get that message to stop?

Many people are reporting the payment notification in the Office apps even though their subscription has been fully paid, most likely this is caused by an Office update or server-side problem that Microsoft needs to fix.

Open Word.

At the top right of Word, log out of Office.

Restart your device, then log back into Office, does that stop the annoying notifications.
