Hi Daniel,
Based on your sharing, if you have used the standard Design > Watermark > Remove Watermark but the "Draft" is not removed, that "Draft" is likely an object in header layer rather than a standard Work watermark.
Therefore, I suggest you can try this first:
1/ Check the header layer
- Open the document in Word and double click near the top margin of a page to open the header area
- Move your mouse over the faint "Draft" text to see if the pointer changes to a four-way arrow > click the watermark and press Delete
- Select Close Header and Footer on the top right of the ribbon
- If the document has multiple sections, you should also scroll through the document to check again since the watermark may exist separately in each section's header.
2/ Use Selection Pane- Go to Home tab > choose Editing > Select > Selection Pane
- Look for objects such as Textbox, WordArt, Pictures, etc. or any suspicious object in the Selection Pane
- If it highlights the faint "Draft", press Delete
You can try these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, please feel free to reach out again in the comments on this post. I'm happy to assist you further and we can work together to find out a solution.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I'm looking forward to your reply.
