Change of billing method

I relocated to another country. I was able to edit my account details and to set the new billing and shipping addresses. When I try to move the payment method of my 365 subscription to a new credit card or to Paypal using the new credit card, I am prompted for a new billing address. No way to get through... Is anyone having the same issue? Thanks, Paolo

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the country and currency where it was originally purchased. Because of that, the system won’t let you extend the subscription or set up auto-billing using a payment method from your new country.

What you can do instead is cancel your current subscription and wait for it to expire (or you can cancel it early if possible). Once it’s fully expired, you can purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using your correct country and billing information.

Dear all, thanks for your help and apologies: the provided support has been timely and clear, I wasn't unhappy with the answers, but with MSFT's policy. I presume there are fiscal reasons I ignore. The issue anyway seems to be the address change, not the country mismatch with the payment method. Apparently any kind of payment works if the address is in the original country, as you said. Thanks again, best regards
