Word not opening

My MS word was working fine until tonight. When I open any word file, it says my word run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. But nothing works even after clicking on repair now button

We see many reports in the forum that Repair Now does not work.

Instead, restart your computer and then run an Online Repair of Office. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application .

Note that an Online Repair includes a reinstall of Office, as the last step. Therefore, before you begin, you should verify that you can access your account at https://account.microsoft.com/services and that Office is associated with it.
