For over several weeks now I have been getting these ******@outlook.com emails. They are saying "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: ******@gmail.com (******@gmail.com)." I have never forwarded or tried to send any emails to ******@gmail.com. Not only am I getting these but they are attaching themselves to actual emails that are currently in my inbox. When I delete these ******@outlook.com emails, my original emails in my inbox also delete. I have tried blocking these, reporting them as junk, reporting them as phishing scams, and just deleting them. Nothing is working and I get over 26 of these type of emails a day. They are also removing my current emails from inbox. What is happening. I need this to stop. I am losing important emails.

Hi. I'm Brian and I'll try to help.

The symptoms you describe could be due to a compromised account where the hacker added forwarding or a forwarding rule to your mailbox. Have you checked for that? Select Settings>Mail>Rules and look for any rules you did not add. Also check https://outlook.live.com/mail/options/mail/forwarding for a forwarding address you did not add. You will likely have to log in a second time for that. Also, check https://account.live.com/activity for any successful logins you do not recognize.
