Hello, I have opened my personal daily file to have the message "Security Risk Microsoft has blocked macros from running because the source of this file is untrusted". I have checked the properties of the file and there is no area or option to click unblock. I have went into Options - Trust Center - Trust Center Settings and added the file location to the list. I have also went into Options - Trust Center - Trust Center Settings - Marco Settings and enabled VBA but still no luck being able to use my macros.

Thanks for your update @Rachel Mayo (Mayo Rachel).

As this file is stored in a local folder, you may want to try adding that folder as a Trusted Location in Excel:

  • Open the Excel file.
  • Navigate to Trust Center Settings: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings
  • Go to Trusted Locations. If you see Disable all Trusted location is checked, please uncheck it.
  • Click Add new location > Click Browse to find the folder, select a folder, and then click OK.

  • If the issue persists: In the same Trusted Locations settings, click Add new location, then enter the following path in the text box that appears:
    • For personal account: https://d.docs.live.net
    • For business account: Go to File > Scroll down to find the file you've just opened > Right click and choose Open file location > Copy the file address to put in the text box.

  • Click the checkbox "Subfolders of this location are also trusted"
  • Click Ok and Restart excel.

Note: This will trust macros in all files stored in your folder. For security, I recommend only saving and opening files from sources you trust.

Please let me know the result after trying these steps, and I'll be happy to assist further if needed.

Thank you for your time!
