Microsoft do not provide an installer for OneDrive that works if Windows is in S Mode, the only option would be to switch out of S Mode to reinstall OneDrive, switching out of S Mode is a one-way change and cannot be undone, but is it necessary for most people to switch out of S Mode, because of the restrictions S Mode applies to your PC.
How to install OneDrive on a 11s Levono Ideapad
OneDrive started upon booting up my mum's simple "11s can't go wrong laptop" (or so I thought) with an error code (that would not close.)
AI suggested uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive which was half easy. It uninstalled but 11s can only load in software from the Windows store... and weirdly One Drive is not listed (even though on the MS website it can be downloaded outside of the store!!)
Why isn't One Drive in the Windows store !! and how can it be reinstalled to a 11s based machine that was chosen because bad things can't be accidently downloaded and installed

2026-08-26T09:34:21.78+00:00 Thanks, That is what I feared. I bought a 11s machine because it is important my parents can not accidently install something that pops up and says it needs to be installed.
It really makes no sense you can uninstall One Drive but then find One Drive is not in the store and therefore can not be reinstalled. The fact 11s can only download from the MS website by stopping being permanently a 11s machine is ridiculous (obviously not your fault but someone at MS)
So it looks like no more One Drive on the machine - which I hope is not going to cause some other problem with 11s as it isn't there anymore and can't be installed.
