I need to activate my purchased licence to get access to Excel an dWord. I changed pcs to a MacNeo an transferred data as I thought that was what was needed as my laptop was pretty old but Licence not yet activated. Also Word seems to have changed to Pages. I need a patient agent to help me through this. Thanks

There are a couple of on-going problems with the Office apps on an Apple Mac device at the moment.

Log into your Microsoft account on this link (https://account.microsoft.com/services/), what version of Microsoft Office do you have, is that a subscription to Microsoft 365 or a standalone version of Office like Office 2019, 2021 or 2024.

Is that where you downloaded and installed the Office apps from on your new Mac Neo?

If possible, please provide a screenshot of any error you see when you try to use Word or Excel on your new device.

    Hi Gordon,

    You can contact a Microsoft support agent directly through Microsoft’s official support page. Sign in, describe your Office activation problem, and select “Contact Support” if the automated help does not resolve it. Microsoft confirms that eligible Microsoft 365 and Office customers can receive chat or callback support.

    Since you are using a Mac, Microsoft also currently lists a known Office activation issue on macOS, so contacting an agent is a good option if signing in does not activate your license.
