An API that connects multiple Microsoft services, enabling data access and automation across platforms
Hello Swami, Somnath Shivamurti (Somnath) CTR
Thank you for contacting Microsoft!
Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Regarding the query on how to distinguish the updated events immediately after creating event, could you please check the following and let us know:
- Check the properties of the update events. You might find differences in properties like createdDateTime, lastModifiedDateTime, or transactionId. Immediate update events might have very close timestamps or the same transactionId as the create event.
- Examine the payload of the update events. If the update event does not contain significant changes to the meeting details (eg.subject, attendees, location), it might an immediate action.
- Implement a debounce mechanism in your application. This means you temporarily ignore update events that occur within a short time frame after the create event. You can ignore the updates that occur within 5-10 seconds of the request.
- If you are using Azure Event Grid to receive this event, you can configure event subscription to filter out unnecessary updates. You can setup rules to prcocess updates that meet certain criteria.
Hope this helps.
