Training: Instruction to develop new skills.
Hi marouf,
We understand that you are encountering a limitation with your current subscription, which allows for a maximum of 4 cores in the East US region. The error message indicates that your deployment attempts to exceed this limit, resulting in the failure of the template deployment.
Here are some suggestions to help you resolve this issue:
1.Reduce Resource Count:
- Since you are on a free subscription and unable to request a quota increase, consider modifying your template to deploy fewer virtual machines (VMs) or reducing the number of cores per VM. This adjustment will help you stay within the allowed limits.
2.Select Available VM Sizes:
- As mentioned in the exercise, if you receive an error indicating that the VM size is unavailable, please ensure you select a SKU that is available in your subscription and has at least 2 cores. This will help you avoid further deployment issues.
3.Check Current Quotas:
- You can use the Azure CLI to check your current quotas and available VM sizes. The following command will list the available VM sizes in the East US region:
az vm list-skus --location eastus --size Standard_D
This command will provide you with a list of VM sizes and their respective core counts, allowing you to choose sizes that fit within your quota.
4.Free Trial Limitations:
- While the free trial provides access to a wide range of Azure resources, it does come with certain limitations, including quotas on the number of cores and other resources. If you find that you need more resources than the free trial allows, you can consider upgrading to a Pay-As-You-Go subscription, which offers greater flexibility and higher resource limits.
