How to exit from a insider preview build into normal stable build(the preview has not been installed yet)

The dev preview build is not downloaded yet(i have paused updates for 1 week and repeated the process) and never installed. but still if i resume them any time

i will only get preview build, this is hard for me. i entered this build by mistake and i hate frequency of updates here. Also i am afraid i wont be able to get normal build updates. I have left the insider preview once just after i hated, now I am unable to leave the insider preview (it shows i am not registered) but still this insider thing sits on my pc waiting to update

Sice you are in Dev channel you can go back to released version 24H2 without clean install.

Follow these steps to get your device out of insider program releasd version 24H2

  1. Download ISO for 24H2 Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
  2. Delete WindowsSelfHost -key
  • Open open regedit (push Win key and type regedit).

- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost

  • On left panel right click that key and delete it.
  • Close regedit and restart.
  • Check your insider settings to see that its out of Insider Program.

  1. Do in-place repair/update
  • Mount downloaded ISO: Double click or right click and select mount
  • On mounted image run setup.exe to start in-place repair which should allow to keep your apps and files.

Now you should be out WIP running released version of Windows 11 24H2.

    That indicated you are in released version and KB5058499 (build 26100.4202) is latest C.U. preview.

    yes system info says:
    Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100

    DSIM says Image Version: 10.0.26100.3775

    and my current screen is like(nothing was updated/restart but KB5058411 changed to KB5058499):

    Are you in build 26100.xxx because KB5058411 is for released version build 26100.4061?

    If yes then you don't need to do in-place repair.

    Thanks Can I avoid the repair step and just resume my updates and install latest windows 11 stable, because as a developer I am used to tweaking with c:/ drive and c:/windows etc. so i fear some of my data will vanish even if i choose to keep data and all in repair,which seems to be more like clean install.

    Can i proceed like this is how it looks for me now:
