When I install programs or place shortcuts on the desktop of my primary computer the changes also appear on other network computers. I would like each machine to operate independently. I use Remote PC for the other machines.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you use OneDrive or any other cloud service to sync your files, then that will cause that problem, OneDrive, by default will sync your Desktop, Document and Pictures folders.

To stop that syncing, you would need to uninstall OneDrive from the PC's you do not want to sync, or use a different Microsoft account on those PC's.
