I have read the previous post, about this problem, but non work for me.

As I plug in my headphone with a microphone, only the speaker is recognized, but not the mic

I was checking in Control Panel > Sound > Recording and see that the Realtek(R) Audio Microphone is shown as not plugged in

This happened when i was playing around with microphone and accidentally disable something in Settings > System > Sound > Input , choose the microphone that pugged in 3.5 port, and then press on the Don't Allow button. Some how instead of allow me to enable it again, the microphone completely disappear .

Ever since, I've never seen my laptop recognize the microphone again, but only recognize the Headphone.

I check for Recording Audio Troubleshooter but i never found it in the Other troubleshooter or anywhere near it.

My windows version is up to date

My drivers check in Device Manager is also determined best

Acer Nitro 5 - (I may provide SNID if needed)

Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

Open the Start Menu, search for Realtek Audio Control application, and open it.

On the Realtek application, select "Device Advanced Settings" and select "Headset" on the connector retasking.
