Phone link (to windows) seems to mean perpetual problems

Hi,

I have previously had some issues with MS phone link, however these sorted themselves out.

NOW, when my PC insisted on a password rather than the normal PIN (without any reason), I had to change my microsoft account password.

Phone link also showed a problem regarding the phone, which I corrected (settings issue).

Now when I click to start phone link, it starts and then terminates with 2 secs.

Add/remove windows function (perhaps) to remove and readd?

What would be the best way forward?

Appreciate any advise/suggestions.

regards

Hi,

Basically, whatever you do you end up on the screen from the screenshot?

Let's repair/reset the Phone Link app

Open Settings > System > System Components > Phone link > 3 dots > Try repair and then reset (if repair doesn't do anything)

Try to establish the connection again.

    Thanks LeviOsaa,

Followed the directions on windows, then on the android, and then back to windows...and seem to be continually adding the device.

The settings on the pc are all on and connected yet i keep seeing this, after completion:

Now where to? If I close this and re-open phone link app...same screen appears.

    Hi,

First, sign out from the Windows App. Then, on your phone, go to Settings, choose your PC, and select 'Sign out and unlink account'.

After that log back into the PC app and start the connecting process.

    Hi,

I just had an issue with the Phone Link yesterday. I had deleted the app from my phone and couldn't reconnect after reinstalling it.

Just remove the phone from the Windows app and start the pairing process again.

    It should work again.
