I received a 24h2 update, after a reboot, the system reverted the changes and the update gave an error 0xc1900101.

I followed all the steps here: Upgrade to Windows 11 with Error Code: 0xC1900101 0x40021 - Microsoft Community

When I ran 24h2 updates again, cumulative updates were installed and 24h2 is no longer available.

If 24H2 is not listed in Windows Update, you can use the ISO.

  1. Download Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link:

https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295

  1. Run MCT and download the ISO it recommends for your system. Do *not* uncheck "Use the recommended options for this PC".
  2. Right-click on the downloaded ISO and choose "Mount." This assigns the ISO a drive letter.
  3. Run setup.exe from the ISO drive. This starts the in-place upgrade/repair installation.

(Your files, settings and applications will be preserved if you use the ISO recommended for your system by the Media Creation Tool.)

Thanks, I'll do it, but how do I get back a 24h2 update that went missing when looking for an update?

The 0xc1900101 0x4001e errors are caused by drivers.

    1. Please uninstall Sandbox, Virtual Machine Platform, and Hyper-V features via OptionalFeatures.exe.
    2. Clean boot Windows using msconfig.exe. How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support.
    3. Install the latest chipset and device drivers for your system (B760M-H/M.2).
    4. Unplug extra hardware and retry the setup.

Post fresh logs if the setup doesn't succeed. We can try eliminating 3rd party driver packages (after backing them up) using Driver Store Explorer and retry setup.

Please share your setup logs to help me determine why the setup failed.

    • Open the "C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources" folder.
    • Select the two folders, "Panther" and "Rollback" (if present).
    • Delete the GenuineTicket.xml file in the Panther folder.
    • Copy the two folders to the desktop and Zip them.
    • Upload the zip file to OneDrive and share the link here.
