Why is this new windows update continuously shutting down my computer?

I installed the new windows update around a week ago and it seemed to be a pretty big one as it took around an hour and a half to install. It said to restart my computer to fully implement the update so I did and since then it has been TERRIBLE. I use my computer for around 45 minutes to an hour uninterrupted and when I'm done I close the lid regularly. I come back maybe 2-3 hours later and the computer has shut down? I used to be able to sleep for a regular amount of time, do my daily routine and come back to my computer ready to go, basically it used to not shut down after closing the lid. I thought at first the update changed the settings of what happens when I close my lid but those were unchanged. Please either inform how to fix this glitch, how to deal with this problem, or launch a new update undoing this.

Hi, Atharva, I am Jeronimo, Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the update, sometimes during installation some error can occur and this kind of things happens, if you feel like the update is the issue, an update history is available so you can see which updates were installed, and when. You can also use this list to remove specific updates:

Please select the Start button, then select Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > View installed update history > Uninstall updates.

Then select the update you want to uninstall, and then select Uninstall.

You’ll need to restart your PC after uninstalling the update.
