How do I undo OneDrive

I accidentally accepted a pop up to use OneDrive, which is causing problems with
-Massively slowing down the computer as it uploads

-Moving, not copying moving, my files so I can no longer find them

I would like to completely undo this. The problem is that because it has moved my files I need to download them all again before deleting it, and whenever I run it to try and do this it starts uploading again.

What I want to do is stop this annoying program taking anything more off my hard drive, get back what it has taken so far and then uninstall, delete and exorcise it.

Is there any way to run it just to download files back to where they came from without then trying to upload them again, and delete them from my hard drive in the process?

Hello,

Yes, this can be done, but for now, please do NOT move any files at all until you go through the steps here first.

==========

Is your OneDrive currently running? If so, on the taskbar lower right, find the OneDrive cloud icon, right click on it, go to Settings > Synce & Backup tab > Manage backup. Turn off all folders there.

Then go to Accounts tab > Unlink this PC.

Then go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, uninstall OneDrive.

Restart the computer.

Now, if all of the files/or part of the files are missing, go to https://www.onedrive.com sign in and dowload from there instead.
