My touchpad driver has been uninstalled by accident. I know there has been answers to reinstall and I have been looking at the steps. Right now I am in front of the Device Manager. According to what I saw, I need to DOUBLE CLICK something in the Mice and other pointing device section, except that of course MY TOUCHPAD DOES NOT WORK so how am I supposed to double click? Is there another way I can fix my touchpad? Please thank you.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

1

In Device Manager, press Tab on your keyboard first, then press Alt + A to select the Action menu at the top.

Press your down arrow on your keyboard to select the 'Scan for hardware changes' item on the resulting menu and wait to see if that can find and re-install your touchpad drivers.

2

If that does not work, restart your laptop to see if Windows will automatically re-install the touchpad drivers.

2

If not, to re-install the touchpad drivers, you need to go to the support page for your laptop on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and re-install the touchpad drivers they provide.

If you have any difficulty locating the support page, click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.
