Windows keeps asking for administrator permissions, when I am the Administrator

When trying to copy or move files from folder to folder, I frequently get a message saying I need "administrator permission." However, I am the Administrator for my computer. See the images below!

Could someone, please, explain this and tell me how to stop it?

The elevation prompt you see is normal when you copy files to system folders such as Windows, System32, Program Files, Program Files (x86), and their subfolders.

You can avoid the prompt by assigning full control permissions for your user account for the specific folder -- i.e., e-Sword.

  • Right-click on the e-Sword folder and click Properties.
  • Click the "Security" tab and click "Advanced".
  • Add your user account to the list and assign Full Control permissions.
  • Click OK, OK to close the dialogs.

Note: Please do not modify the permissions for system folders like Windows, System32, Program Files, Program Files (x86)
