How to lock This PC shortcut icon on Home Screen

I have created a shortcut desktop icon for This PC

I position this icon to the second icon down on left-hand of Home Screen

When the laptop starts, this icon always moves to the bottom of the icon list on the left-hand side, and the original position is now blank

All other icons are in their original position. It is only This PC icon that changes position on startup

How can I lock this icon, so that it is always in the same position when the system starts?

Hi ,

You're going to delete this icon by going to the Start menu > Settings > Personalize > Themes > Configure desktop icons > Check only This PC and apply.

Then on the desktop, right-click on Display and uncheck the Align to grid option.

Hope this helps.

    Hi ,

The shortcut should probably be in the public profile. Does the shortcut you created have a shortcut arrow or not?

    Thanks for your reply.

The Arrange Automatic Icons is not active.

However, when I set this to Active, all other desktop icons move, which I do not want.
