I'm getting this popup

I noticed that Pc App Store is apparently making this offer. I've encountered other situation where PC App Store was probably installing software on one's computer or phone that give them access to issue the popup. I'm not an attorney, but it seems to me that the FTC mind consider this kind of activity improper. But I digress.

In the other instance of this kind that I experienced, the only way I found to get rid of it was to actually purchase the item. That qualified me go to the offending app's support, which in turn led to finding out how to get my money back and also get rid of the popup.

I'm not keen on taking that risk again. Hence my reason for posting here, with the hope that someone else has discovered how to get rid of the popup.

Thanks for your help,
SweetTasha

Hi, This is Ramesh.

Please uninstall "PC App Store" via Apps and Features in Settings.

Also, download Malwarebytes Antimalware, run a scan, and eliminate every piece of malware it finds. It also gets rid of all adware and PUAs.

Note: the Malwarebytes setup may activate the Premium trial (15-day) version. After 15 days, it switches to the free version automatically.

    Thanks for your reply Ramesh.

    PC App Store isn't installed.
At you suggestion I'm running Malwarebytes but I wasn't at the time I started getting the popup.

You're welcome, SweetTasha. If needed, we can run the Farbar scanner and do a thorough checkup.
