Hello,

My computer is crashing randomly (BSOD). It can happen anytime (15 minutes after turned on, 1h after turned on...). It is very annoying especially because it can ruin my work or progress.

Here are some of my PC specs:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 4500 6-core 12-thread 3.7 GHz

Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 580 with 8 GB video memory

RAM capacity: 16 GB

Storage: 256 GB NVMe SSD, 512 GB SATA SSD, 500 GB HDD

I could give you some information of the BSOD if you provide me how to find the file and send it to you.

Your minidump files mostly indicate memory (RAM) corruption, two of the minidump files indicate a driver associated to the processor caused the crashes.

1

Go to the support page for your PC or Motherboard on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the version of Chipset drivers they recommend and while there, if you do not have your drive encrypted with Bitlocker, check for any BIOS update that may need to be installed

2

Wait to see if your system stabilizes, if not, the best option is to download the widely available free utility MemTest86, then run a full 4 pass scan with that to test your RAM for physical errors

Try using these steps to bypass the permissions restrictions on the minidump files.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

    Open that minidump folder

Select any files in there and press Ctrl + C to copy those files

On your Desktop, right click and choose New - Folder

Go into that new folder and press Ctrl + V to paste a copy of those files

    Log into OneDrive: https://onedrive.live.com/

Drag that new folder form your Desktop into the OneDrive page and wait for it to upload

When it has uploaded, right click the folder on the OneDrive page and choose Share

    Click Copy Link

    Then post that link here.

I have a problem :(. I cannot access the files because it was probably corrupted or inaccessable. When I try to archive them, it says access denied an a bunch of errors.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.
