Hello, I'm Quinn, and I'm happy to help.

Here’s how you can fix it:

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Apps > Default Apps
  3. Scroll to find your photo app, select it, and assign file types like .jpeg, .jpg, .png to it.

If things got messy and you want to start fresh:

  1. In the same “Default apps” section, scroll down and hit "Reset" to go back to Microsoft's recommended default apps.
  2. Reassign image file types to your preferred viewer afterward.
