My laptop is a new brand, yesterday I installed the windows with my same Microsoft account as my other laptop, the laptop was working fine but today as soon as I turn on the laptop appears a message saying that: something happened with the PIN and you need to reset it. It says that I will receive an email with the verification code but I never receive it. I checked my email and it is working properly. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I'm here to help with your questions or issues.

If you go to the Windows Hello sign-in screen and click "I forgot my PIN" > Send notification > I don't have access to my Microsoft app, then in the Verify your identity section, click "Show more verification methods" > Click "I don't have any of these", do you see a section that asks "Do you have an account recovery code?"

Thank you so much! I could not get to any option to use my recovery email or a phone number at all. But after I just input any PIN, and it says incorrect, I went back and there was the option to sign in in another way. So it gave me chance to do it. Thank you sooooo much Emmanuel!
