Windows 11 Home, 24H2, OS Build, 26100.4061, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.84.0, 64 bit. Tried to update multiple times and failed each time. Norton also failed to execute the update. Tried with administrator command prompt: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup which failed with an error. Log file had the first error of DISM Package Manager: PID=16536 TID=12464 Failed enumerating capabilities. Windows Update automated diagnostic tool failed the first time, then detected errors and attempted to fix them, only to have the update fail again. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hi Nathaniel,

The error code 0x80073712 indicates a corrupt component store. A repair installation is the easiest way to fix this.

Launch Settings > System > Recovery. Under "Fix problems using Windows Update", select "Reinstall now."

This does a repair installation, keeping your files, apps, and settings.
