How to avoid PC login?

I have just installed Windows 10 Home on my PC, and I see that it asks for a password every time I turn it on. I don't know what to do to avoid this. I have read about it on the internet, and found a number of methods to disable login. But none of them work. The PC keeps asking for a password every time I turn it on.

Maybe it's important that the login is linked to Microsoft's website. I can't log in at all, if I'm not online.

Hello,

This is actually by design. However, you can set up auto login, and I will share the standard method, if for any reason it still doesn't work for you, you need to let me know at which step you run into issue as I know there are a few curved ball scenarios out there. We can then tweak the method as needed.

Standard method:

  1. First, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, Make sure "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended). " is turned OFF.
  2. Type netplwiz in the search on the taskbar and press enter, select your user, if the "user must enter a username and password to use this computer" box is NOT checked, please check it , click Apply. Then uncheck the box and click Apply. This will bring up a pop up window.
  3. On this pop up window, this is where most mistakes happen. Very important, erase the username that's prefilled. Username should be your entire email address for your Microsoft account. Password is your Microsoft account's password. Any typo here can prevent it from working. Then click OK. And back to the netplwiz page, click OK.
  4. Restart the computer now and it should work.

    Under my reply, I believe there's a yes and no question asking if the reply resolved the issue. If you click on Yes, it will mark that reply as the answer for the question you raised. This helps curate content for others who have the same issues.

    Anyway, regarding the tme, when the time is wrong, boot the computer into BIOS, and see if the time is correct there. If not, it is possible your computer's cmos battery needs replacement.

    I actually have one more problem: Under Settings -> Time and Language, I have instructed my PC to update the clock automatically. But it doesn't happen. Gradually the clock becomes inaccurate.
