How to stop 2 PC from mirroring each other on desktop, internet, etc.

I have a new PC to use for everything I want to do. I now want to use my old PC to connect to our main TV so I can stream some things to the TV.

However, the PCs are mirroring each other in regards to items on the desktop, start up, etc. I would like to delete my personal things off the old PC but am afraid it will delete them from the new PC.

Is there a way these two PCs can be separated from doing this?

Thanks

My suggestion is to create new Microsoft account (or even local account) on the old PC (Settings, Accounts, Other Users, Add Account) and use that account. You don't have to remove your current Microsoft Account from that PC. Just login with new account and that's it.
