Laptop will not detect new home WiFi router but detects others in the vicinity

W have changed broadband provider and received a new router. I have successfully connected two phones and a laptop to the new router but my second laptop does not see/find the router but it detects other WiFi networks close to our home. What is the fix?

Our broadband provider has stayed the same but we have a new router. Everything has connected fine except an OmniBook x flip. It recognises the network but won’t connect.

Please clarify the following:

Could you check whether the Wi-Fi network your laptop isn't detecting is using the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band?

Some routers operate on dual-band frequencies, and certain devices, especially older ones, might not be compatible with the 5GHz signal.

What is the manufacturer and model of your laptop?

If you prefer, you can share a screenshot of your system information.

Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

Hi David, Thanks for your quick response. The Laptop in question is a HP Pavilion G Series (Pavilion 6). Windows 10, Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045. I'm trying to connect to a new Vodafone Power Hub which i believe is a dual band device 2.4Ghz and 5GHz. Does this help you? Regards John.
