I have 2 win 11 latops one plys external dvd newer one does not, Cyberlink shows ppopup box that when closed pops again when hit play
What exactly happens when you insert a DVD into a DVD player? Can you find this DVD in Explorer?

please, explain what's happen when you try to play a dvd, do you see any error message? if yes, can you report them here?
did you experienced this problem only with cyberlink or also with other software?

With other software, Cyberlink says it is not supported, any DVD starts the start screen of dvd then 10 secs. after starting it shuts down. No error messages from OS. Laptop was bought last March.

Plug in the external DVD Player to the new laptop.
Open Device Manager
Look under DVD/CD-ROM drives.
If it’s not listed, the drive is not being detected properly.
If there's a yellow warning icon, you may need to reinstall drivers.
If required use a different USB port.
A different USB cable.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest CyberLink PowerDVD version.
You may also try a different DVD player software.
It is in device mgr. and state I have the latest driver, tried both ports same result, tried to redownload free version Cyberlink same result will try new usb cable
It does play music CD
