Go back to my old alias

Hello dear assistant,

Recently, my email address “******@hotmail.com” was targeted by several hacking attempts. People tried to access my account by entering passwords every hour, but they didn’t succeed.

However, this alias was used to open accounts on several platforms, especially with my broker Deriv.

Is it possible to go back to the old alias so I can stay connected with my broker Deriv? My new email address is r.*************@outlook.com, but the broker can’t change my login to this new email without confirming it through the old one: ******@hotmail.com.

Thank you. Best regards.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

Did you delete the email address (Alias) from your Microsoft account and replaced it with something new due to the attack?

If yes, the answer is 'No'. You cannot recover the deleted Microsoft domain alias.

That is, Microsoft domain addresses like @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com are removed, you are permanently deleting the alias and it cannot be associated with any Microsoft account again.

Since Microsoft no longer recycle email addresses, you cannot recreate the same address again, and this username will not be available to anyone again in the future.
