My Hotmail was Hacked and Mail is being forwarded to unknown email addresses, even though no mail forwarding options have been set up in my Settings.

My Hotmail account was hacked and even after changing my password, cleaning up viruses/malware, I still see that all of my incoming emails are forwarded to 3 email addresses I have never seen before. When looking at my Mail Forwarding setup, I have no mail forwarding setup. So, I assume the hacker(s) somehow coded the language so that my emails get forwarded to these 3 email addresses even without mail forwarding options set up. How do I fix and eliminate all of my incoming email from being sent to these unknown email addresses?

Hello ,

Please do the following on a web browser on a computer, not via your smartphone or tablet.

And please go through all of the areas I listed:

Go to https://www.outlook.com and log in, click on the gear icon in the top right to launch the settings.

Then, on the Mail tab, go to Rules. Are there any rules set up here? If yes, delete them all.

Then check the conditional transfer, again, if it's there, delete it.

Then, check Forwarding and IMAP, If any items are present, delete them as well.

===========

If you can't find anything, go to https://account.live.com > Your info > Sign in Preferences. Make sure to check all the aliases here. If you don't recognize any there, delete it.

Then go to Security > Manage How I sign in, make sure all contact info is yours.

Please make sure you change your password and enable two-step verficiation.
