Can no longer open OneDrive web interface and search SharePoint folders

Users used to be able to open OneDrive in Edge and do a search for items that are contained within SharePoint. The search still works, but any folders returned in the results give a "Sorry, something went wrong" error. Clicking files returned in the search results still works properly. This started last week. This is the case for all users. Any thoughts on what broke this and how to fix it?

    Hi @Mongoose
Since we can't reproduce your situation, we need to narrow down the problem and try some things.

    1. You could try to clear browser cache then restart it.
    2. Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.
    3. Change to another network environment. If you’re currently using a company network, check if the issue persists in a home network.
    4. Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint site collections.
Here is my test result, when I search the folder everything works fine.

We want to use Edge as the browser because that is the only browser that supports View in File Explorer. We have tried clearing the cache. Some users have tried it from home. We do not have other SharePoint site collections to try.

Here is how I reproduce the issue:
Open OneDrive and select View Online to open the location in Edge.
Click the search box and enter a value for which to search, which will search our SharePoint site in addition to the OneDrive folders.
From the search results, I am able to click a file to open it in a new tab. This works whether the file is in OneDrive or the SharePoint site.
If I click a folder from the results that is contained in my OneDrive files, the folder opens in the same tab and I can view the contents.
However, if I click a folder from the results that is contained in our SharePoint site, it opens a new tab that says "Sorry, something went wrong."244777-onedrivesearch.pdf
This worked a couple weeks ago, but no longer works for any of our users.
See the attached PDF file for images of the various steps to reproduce this issue.

I will attempt to open a ticket with Microsoft. I will post an update when I know something.

I confirmed the issue still exists and then created a ticket with Microsoft. A support guy called about three hours later to work with me on the issue. Miraculously, it worked before he even got on my system with me. It's amazing how often that happens. Clearly, Microsoft had done something to resolve this and the rep was basically working with me to confirm it is working. That is great. I just wish when they do that they would say what happened rather than trying to make me think the issue never existed.
