I am getting this error and it is really annoying.
I can't use visual studio ide because of it.
I have tried updating vs22.
I have tried using the repair option. (twice)
I have tried reinstalling vs22.
Tried disabling antivirus.
Tried installing vs19.
Tried installing vs22 preview.
Nothing worked.
And I tried searching for a solution online, it seems I am the only one facing this problem.
I have used vs22 for more than 3months now, and this error only showed up like last week.
I don't know how to provide more information about this error, if I missed anything please let me know.
I would appreciate any suggestion!

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. Is there anything changed these days on your side(such as installing/uninstalling .net framework, manually removing some system files, installing some other tools or extensions…)? From your description, this is probably a potential issue. Could you also raise a ticket on our Developer Community for further investigate(attach related system log files and VS setup log files)?

May I know whether this issue was resolved or not? BTW, have you tried to reboot your machine after you disabled the antivirus software? If you start VS in safe mode will it work?

Buckner, Scott 1 Reputation point2022-10-07T12:55:40.923+00:00 I get the identical error message as well after installing Visual Studio 2022 Professional yesterday afternoon (October 6th). Rebooting and running as administrator did not resolve the issue. I also tried starting VS in safe mode, including as an Administrator, with no effect.
