User cannot login owa, if I select the option "User must change password at next logon" in exchange 2016

Hi,

Dear Friends we are using exchange server 2016 cu1 in windows server 2016 with this users are unable login to "owa" page "when user must change password at next login" option is enabled.

Please provide me more information to analyze your issue:

When the users reset password to log on OWA, which step the issue occurred? During the first reset password step or the second log on owa after resetting password.

Does the issue always exist since you deploy Exchange 2016? If not ,when the issue occurred, before it happened ,did you do some operation?

After you configure “change password at next login" option, can you still log on AD devices after reset password?

If you open the powershell with the identity of administrator on DC, and input “secpol.msc into Run. Navigate to Account Policies and Password Policy in the left pane of Local Security Policy. In the right pane of Password Policy, double click/tap on the Minimum password age policy. Change the "Minimum password age" to “0” days. After this configuration ,can the users log on OWA?

I also notice that you are using CU1, this version has been published for a long time , I would suggest you update to the newest CU version and test whether the users can log on OWA?

When the user asked to change the password i reset the password in active directory with the option "user must change password at next logon "selected , after that I asked users to login with the changed password, there users are getting error called bad password or username, actually after entering the new password which I have given at the time of reset it should asked user to change password , but it is not happening.

We have Minimum password age policy is '0' only, one more thing which i have observed is , after resetting the password with "user must change password at next logon" option still user can able to login with old password instead of prompting to change the password but getting error with new password, and if i reset password without this "user must change password at next logon" option users are abled to login with old and new both passwords.
