If you want to "reuse" objects across multiple Address book policies, it's easier to add them to an AL, then add said AL to the ABPs in question. If you want to do so directly on the GAL layer, make sure to adjust the recipient query to include the DL. For example if you GAL filter is based on say the CustomAttribute1 parameter, make sure the DL is stamped with such.
3 GAL's 1 Distribution List
Hello,
We are currently setting up Address Book Policies to separate into 3 different GAL's within the organization. The problem I am having is I don't know how to add a Distribution List to display in all the GAL's. Does anyone know how this can be done?

2022-09-29T15:23:36.923+00:00 We are running Exchange 2016 on-prem. I did add the CustomAttribute4 to the DL and it still does not show in the new GAL that I created. However when I check the DL properties, it does show the attribute that I set. Any idea how I can update the "AddressListMembership" on the DL to point to all 3 GAL's? When I look at that settings, it only shows the default.
AddressListMembership : {\All Distribution Lists, \Default Global Address List}
CustomAttribute4 : EXE -
