Hi I have purchased a domain from a company in australia I need to connect my Azure Virtual Machine to this domain
I currently run a short cut from my desktop http://20.28.###.###/SchoolLogin.aspx to connect and run my product
how do I run my new domain e.g. tpaSchools.com.au to connect to the VM and run the SchoolLogin.aspx

I think, you haven't configured the hostname in your IIS settings. Add your hostname as below from IIS console and point the public ip address of the virtual machine in your domain registrar

can you enter www.tpaschools.com.au and connect to the VM and have it automatically run SchoolLogin.aspx
or do you have to enter a shortcut on the desktop www.tpaSchools.com.au/SchoolLogin.aspx

Use tpaschools.com.au only. Physical path specified will serve the files inside when there is a request comes

The physical drive is set to c:\inetpub\wwwroot\
where all the programs .aspx files are but it wont run schoolLogin.aspx
I also added it in the Default document option but I still need to run www.tpaSchools.com.au/SchoolLogin.aspx
how do you run without specifying the program /SchoolLogin.aspx

Hi the physical drive is set to where the SchoolLogin.aspx exists I have checked again on the VM c:\inetpub\wwwroot\
I also tried %SystemDrive%\inetpub\wwwroot still will not run SchoolLogin.aspx
I have to add it to the shortcut http://www.tpakelsohigh.com.au/ then add SchoolLogin.aspx so it runs otherwise it shows the
IIS Windows server screen
