Azure VPN Client - "The service has not been started"

I downloaded and installed Azure VPN Client, but when I run the application, I immediately get an error: The service has not been started.

Nothing happens when importing settings.

OS Windows 10 Enterprise, version 22H2

Hi @Sergey Levkovets ,

for my understanding and as per the attached screenshot and the error message, it looks the VPN service has not been started at all or it is blocked by a local firewall.

Can you please verify if any local firewall is blocking the following ports:
For SSTP: 443 TCP
For PPTP: 1723 TCP and Protocol 47 GRE (also known as PPTP Pass-through)
For L2TP over IPSEC: 1701 TCP and 500 UDP

Porbably, you should open UDP 4500 as well.

Apologies for the delay in response.

1) Did you try re-installing the VPN client?
2) Also, make sure that the Azure VPN Client has permission to run in the background.

3)You could also try restarting Rasman service, if you have Admin access on the system.
To do this:
Open Services. Click Start, click Run, and then type services.msc & hit enter.
Right-click the Remote Access Connection Manager service and then click Start/Restart.
