ltsc 2021 does not auto-save files in excel or powerpoint; word documents do. The file has been placed into onedrive according to the documentation requirements.

If you working in Excel, PP or Word using Onedrv then you can see Autosave mechanism on left up corner.

If Saved locally that MS do not prepare anything besides emergency recovery in case of uncontrolled shutdown of the application.

I Do not exactly work on Onedrv, but I use it very often to share my files, and I like be sure my work do not go away anyway.
So I build 2 add-ins. First for Excel and other for Word with extra useful features.
You can read about that in links.

    Regards.

I think we have a clear understanding of the official documents and there are no operational errors. I need Microsoft's official technical support to help solve this problem.

Office doesn't always install correctly. The result is missing command buttons. Try and Office Repair: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b If that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling may fix the problem.
