SharePoint calendar event registration

Hi all,

How can we create event registration system in SharePoint? Different color overlays and event registration facility also if publisher can restrict the event registration for some event.. any clue on out of the box?

1. You could click this button to create an overlay event:

As a result, you could see two calendars in the calendar view.

You could achieve this requirement by managing the column and list item, for example, when we create an item in calendar list, we could choose event in Category column:

In actual this is Choice column type, we could edit or delete the events in list settings:
