Azure Managed Instance SQL server region move one to another

I want move my Azure Managed instanse Sql server to another region with out changing the name / credentials of the server

Azure Database Migration service
Azure SQL Database

    Hi Kartik,

    Yes this is possible and you can follow the detailed steps and process over here. Changing the name of the managed instance is anyways not supported.

    @JimmySalian-2011 Thankyou for the quick response, the process mentioned in the link will change my server address which is not possible in my scenario
    Do we have any another way for which server address will be same like lift and shift process

    Hi @Saxena, Kartik Thank you for your query.

    As per my understanding you are trying to move your Azure SQL Managed Instance to another region without changing the name/credentials of the server.
    Achieving this with identical managed Instance name is not possible as @JimmySalian-2011 mentioned above. I am not aware of any workaround as of now.
    You can create a feature request on Azure feedback so our product group can add it to their future work.
