Why does Office 365 (Excel, Outlook) not work properly?

I have been using Microsort products since DOS and always had good luck, until I was forced to go to Office 365. I have never seen such TOTALLY BAD BAD software in my life. Outlook just doesn't work: I cannot send or receive emails. Period. Excel first dropped a whole line in an existing spread sheet, then it dropped the "A" column: letmost is now "B". Adding a new column results in an empty "B" with the rest shifted rigth one column and the column names cannot be edited! Any high school kid could do better. Even worse, the Apps and features doesn't even show 365 installed! In my regular account, I cannot see most of the apps, however they are all visible in the priv account. In the priv account, Outlook connects to the hot mail server and I cannot add a new account to link to my regular email. Finally, I cannot find any way out of the "free month" to get to the paid subscription without paying for it AGAIN!!!. I am hoping that the paid version isn't so badly broken. I am running Windows 10, 64 bit and don't dare to upgrade to Win 11 with a system that is not stable.
Any help and or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

    You could install your older paid versions of Office.
