migrating a server 2019 failover cluster

Hi

I was trying to use Remove-ClusterNameAccount to migrate a failover cluster onto a new domain, the process worked on a new test machine

However I got the output

Remove-ClusterNameAccount : Removing cluster name account failed.
One or more nodes in the cluster are running a version of Windows that does not support this operation
At line:2 char:1

• Remove-ClusterNameAccount -Cluster CLUSTER01 -Delete ...
• ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Remove-ClusterNameAccount], ClusterCmdletException

the servers are running 2019, however I think the cluster may have been created on 2016 (and servers had an inplace upgrade)

can you suggest anything please
