Maybe use kiosk mode

Hi,

We would like to use a Surgace Go 3 in a hotel (all rooms). The guests should be able to surf at our own SharePoint site but not outside this domain. Also, Teams should be available only for internal use (direct to reception and/ or other room(s)). These should be the only two apps that work, other settings and apps shouldn't be available to ensure the proper use of the devices.

We would like to use multiple (+/- 100) devices managed by Intune to show a specific SharePoint site at startup (KioskBrowser?), the user should be able to surf to different pages within this SharePoint site.

Also the user should be able to call 1 specific number/ user inside the same tenant, without the need of logging in every time after sleep or reboot. (so preferibly log in once and then stay logged in with the same user.)

What I tought we would do is:

  • Set device to Kiosk mode
  • Set device to allow specific site (whitelist it)
  • Set Teams as standard device to handle calling

The problem now is that every time we reboot or initiate sleep mode, the user needs to login in SharePoint and Teams. Is there a way we could accomplish the same results (maybe without the Kiosk Mode?).

Ideally the device is locked to the user room1 and logs automatically in as such, when it calls the reception or another room (this should be the only two options). This because we can call the room and see the device as a user within the Intune management.

Any ideas?
