On prem DC to Microsoft Azure VM

We are moving from on Prem to full cloud on Azure VM. I have tried to use Azure Migrate to help me discover and migrate from on prem and no success has been achieved in the setup.

Can some please me on how I should go about the migration.

We are running windows server 2016 on our on prem, window server 2016 on Ms Azure VM environment and checkpoint firewall where we want to connect the site to site connection to enable the Azure environment communicate with our local environment.

From the description It looks like you want to perform migration of your on-prem DC to Azure. However, this part is creating confusion.

If you are planning for cloud only environment with complete lift and shift from on-prem set up to cloud only set up (Azure), your best bet would be to leverage Azure migrate - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/migrate-tutorial-on-premises-azure

If you are planning for DR strategy, then you should be using Azure Site Recovery - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/tutorial-prepare-azure

If you could provide more details about your issues with Azure migrate that you mentioned in your post, would be glad to assist you with troubleshooting the problem.

Yes, I want to migrate an on-prem DC to a VM that we have already setup in Azure. When I run SetRegistryForTrustedSites.ps1 file it runs to the point of launching url - https:// (name):44368, then it launches a browser with an error of " secure connection failed".

Yes, we are planning for a cloud only environment with complete lift and shift from on-prem set to cloud only set up (Azure), I tried using Azure migrate and it keeps on failing. Seem like there is something I am doing wrong, yet I cannot figure it out. If I can be pointed to the right direction or assist in doing the migration I would really appreciate.
