Excel slow working with QuickBokks

When QuickBooks is pushing data to Excel it is unusably slow. This happened after Office updated, it takes a good 25 minutes to populate say the prevailing wage report. On machines that have new or installs of Office before Quickbooks installed it takes about 3 minutes. Only happens after Office updates. I have uninstalled office, reinstalled to no avail.

    You can have a try of rolling back Office to the previous version and see if this problem can be solved.

    I have tried to roll it back unsuccessfully using

    cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRunofficec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.149231.208206.

    On My machine I updated Office and it slowed down. I reinstalled Quickbooks and it was almost as fast as i was when I started. Tried it on the other slow machines, it did nothing to help.

    Problem:
    When exporting a QuickBooks report to Excel, the export process is very slow.

    Resolution:

    1. While in QuickBooks, perform the following:
    2. Open your QuickBooks company file
    3. Run a report to export to Excel
    4. Select Excel > Create New Worksheet
    5. Click Advanced in the "Send Report to Excel" window.
    6. Deselect the Freeze panes checkbox
    7. Click OK
    8. Click Export

    The export process should now be much faster.
